Charlotte Banfield

Charlotte Banfield is a gold medal-winning world para surf champion who has overcome significant personal challenges, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and autism. Once struggling with depression and bullying, her life transformed when she discovered surfing at the age of 13, which not only boosted her confidence but also led her to pursue a master's degree in marine biology. Celebrated for her achievements, Banfield's journey is featured in the exhibition 'Surf! 100 Years of Waveriding in Cornwall' at the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth.
