Chen Yidan

Chen Yidan, a 16-year-old with autism spectrum disorder and special learning needs, has demonstrated remarkable resilience and talent in music. Despite facing challenges in reading sheet music, she achieved a Grade 8 violin performance qualification from the Royal Academy of Music and has won numerous awards in inter-school and international competitions. As a dedicated volunteer and current vice-captain of the Girl Scouts, she aims to use her scholarship to further her musical skills and prepare for her diploma exams, encouraging her peers to persevere through difficulties.
