Cherie Heeney

Cherie Heeney is the newly appointed principal of Flaxmere College, having previously served as a deputy principal. Born and raised in the Ngāti Kahungunu community, she has a deep connection to the school, with family ties that include her mother, a founding PTA member. Heeney is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for students and teachers alike, emphasizing the importance of community and education in her leadership approach.
