Chering Dorjay Lakrook

Chering Dorjay Lakrook is the president of the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) and serves as the chairman of the Leh Apex Body (LAB), a coalition advocating for greater autonomy and statehood for Ladakh. Under his leadership, the LBA has actively sought to address concerns regarding religious conversions in the region, emphasizing the need for an anti-conversion law to safeguard the delicate communal balance and peace among the Buddhist, Muslim, and Christian communities in Ladakh.
