Chernoh Alpha Bah

Dr. Chernoh Alpha Bah is an esteemed historian and investigative journalist who specializes in the medical and legal history of West Africa. He earned his PhD in History from Northwestern University and currently serves as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brown University. As the co-founder and editor-in-chief of the independent media outlet Africanist Press, Dr. Bah has faced significant threats and harassment due to his investigations into high-profile corruption in Sierra Leone, particularly involving government officials, including the President and First Lady. Recently, he announced plans to embark on a Solidarity Tour across Europe and Africa to raise awareness about ongoing violations of free speech and academic freedom in Sierra Leone, aiming to mobilize global support for fundamental rights in the region.
