Cherrie is a celebrated Swedish artist known for her soulful R&B sound and poignant storytelling. Hailing from Rinkeby, she gained recognition a decade ago with her hit 'Tabanja', which addressed the harsh realities of gang violence. Her latest album, 'Iftiin', balances raw authenticity with accessibility, exploring themes of light and darkness, vulnerability and strength. The title, which means 'light' in Somali, pays homage to her roots and her aunt's band, Iftin Band, which was popular in Somalia during the 70s.
