Chido

Chido is a cyclone that struck the archipelago of Mayotte in December 2022, causing devastating damage and resulting in at least 40 fatalities. The cyclone's winds exceeded 200 km/h, leading to significant destruction estimated at around 3.5 billion euros. Recently, Mayotte has been placed under an orange alert for heavy rains and storms, as the region continues to recover from the aftermath of Chido.
