Chris Brookes-Smith

Chris Brookes-Smith, 28, is a health reporter who has overcome a severe peanut allergy through a groundbreaking clinical trial. Once living in constant fear of life-threatening allergic reactions, Chris participated in a study at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, where he gradually built up his tolerance to peanuts. After nine months, he achieved the ability to safely consume peanuts, significantly improving his quality of life and alleviating the anxiety that once dominated his daily experiences.
