Chris Tennet

Chris Tennet is a Wellington lawyer who was recently suspended for two years after the Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal found him guilty of misconduct related to the actions of a former employee, serial conman Hunter. Tennet failed to adequately supervise Hunter, who exploited the legal aid system and embezzled over $330,000. Despite his prior knowledge of Hunter's criminal history, Tennet believed he had rehabilitated, which ultimately led to significant financial loss for clients and legal aid services.
