Christien Clark

Christien Clark is a widow whose husband, Sergeant Wasimoen Martowidjojo, was killed during the Surinamese Civil War in 1986. She has been a vocal advocate for the recognition and support of families of fallen soldiers, expressing her concerns over the lack of attention and assistance given to them. Clark founded the non-profit organization The Happy Family to support abandoned women and children, drawing from her own experiences of loss and hardship. She is also in the process of writing a book about her life experiences, aiming to share her journey and insights.
