Christoph von Dohnányi

Renowned conductor Christoph von Dohnányi, born in Berlin in 1929, was celebrated for his leadership at major opera houses and orchestras worldwide. Dohnányi came from a distinguished family; his father, Hans, was a resistance fighter executed by the Nazis, and he was the grandson of composer Ernst von Dohnányi.
