Christopher Banda is the head of the Malawi Computer Emergency Response Team (mwCERT) at the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA). He plays a pivotal role in addressing Malawi's cybersecurity challenges by spearheading initiatives aimed at training the next generation of ICT professionals. Under his leadership, MACRA has launched a series of cyber drills in partnership with universities to enhance the technical skills and awareness of students and staff in the face of rising cybersecurity threats, such as mobile money fraud and data theft.
