Christopher Johnson Castillo

Christopher Johnson Castillo was recently sentenced to 45 years and six months in prison for the murder of his wife, Rebeca Castillo, and for the attempted murder of his mother-in-law in Cartago, Costa Rica. The tragic incident occurred on October 4, 2024, when Johnson, 38, attacked his wife in front of their two young children before attempting to kill his mother-in-law with a knife. He later confessed to the crimes at a local police station. Johnson and Rebeca had been married since 2017, and there were no prior domestic violence reports against him.
