Christopher Knight

Christopher Knight, a 61-year-old man from Te Kūiti, was recently in the news after being sentenced in the Hamilton District Court for criminal harassment and firearms-related charges. His behavior escalated after developing an infatuation with a woman, which led to him sending her numerous unwanted messages and making threats toward police officers. Following a personal tragedy and a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, Knight's actions became increasingly erratic, resulting in his arrest and subsequent sentencing to community detention and intensive supervision.
