GS.TS Chu Tuấn Nhạ was a prominent Vietnamese academic and former Minister of Science and Technology, who passed away on December 1 at the age of 87. Born in 1939 in Hanoi, he dedicated over 42 years to higher education, science, technology, and environmental issues, serving 21 years in the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment. His career included significant roles such as Chairman of the National Council for Science and Technology Policy and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam National UNESCO Committee. He was instrumental in developing Vietnam's science and technology strategies and policies, contributing to the establishment of laws and regulations that shaped the sector. His passing marks a significant loss for the Vietnamese scientific community.
