Claire Tjoe-Fat

Claire Tjoe-Fat is a 24-year-old Dutch professional ballerina of Surinamese descent. She has recently returned to Suriname, where she conducted guest lessons at Balletschool Marlène, sharing her expertise and passion for dance with local students. Tjoe-Fat emphasizes the importance of discipline, dedication, and enjoyment in dance, encouraging young dancers to pursue their dreams. Having trained at Het Nationale Ballet in Amsterdam and currently performing with Scottish Ballet, she is preparing for an upcoming tour of 'Mary, Queen of Scots' in London and the United States. Tjoe-Fat's visit to Suriname also allowed her to reconnect with family and explore her cultural roots, making her experience both professionally enriching and personally meaningful.
