Claxton is a pioneering excavator operator from Waipukurau, New Zealand, who has made history as one of the first women to compete for a national title in heavy machinery operations. With a background in fashion and a decade of experience in construction, she has overcome skepticism in a male-dominated field to earn respect and recognition. After winning the Hawke’s Bay East Coast regional title, Claxton aims to inspire the next generation of women in construction by mentoring young people and advocating for inclusivity in the industry.
