Clémence Polès Farhang

Clémence Polès Farhang is a photographer and the founder of Passerby magazine, which explores themes of womanhood and identity through a decade-long photographic and oral archive. After immigrating to New York City, she used publishing to confront internalized misogyny, stemming from her upbringing in a traditional Iranian household. Her work highlights the experiences of women, particularly immigrants, and challenges conventional narratives around appearance and belonging.
