Cléo Sostenes
Cléo Sostenes was a pivotal figure in Brazilian samba history, known as one of the founders of the Mancha Verde samba school, which is associated with the fan organization of the Palmeiras football club. He played a crucial role in establishing the school in 1995, following its debut as an ala in the Águia de Ouro in 1988. Tragically, Sostenes passed away shortly after the school's founding, never realizing his dream of seeing it flourish in the carnival scene. Under his vision, Mancha Verde has since become a respected competitor in São Paulo's carnival, achieving multiple titles and a significant following.
