Cleopa Msuya was a prominent Tanzanian politician who served as the country’s first Vice President and later as Prime Minister. Born in 1931 in Chomvu Village, he was a significant figure in Tanzania's post-independence political landscape, contributing to the nation's governance and development. Msuya passed away on May 7, 2025, after battling heart disease, and was honored with a national farewell attended by various political leaders, including President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
