Coconut is a chihuahua who recently made headlines after being lost in a wooded area of West Virginia. Adopted by a family that failed to continue her search when she escaped, Coconut was found wandering with two other abandoned dogs. After receiving care from the Fayette County Animal Shelter, she was placed in a foster home where she formed a bond with her caretaker, Danielle. Despite her nervous disposition making adaptation challenging, Coconut was eventually adopted. However, she escaped her harness in a parking lot and ran into the woods. Unlike her new family, Danielle took it upon herself to search for Coconut and successfully reunited with her after a brief but intense search.
