Colette de Charnière

Colette de Charnière was a wealthy countess and the founder of the Maternité des Lilas, established in 1964. The clinic became a significant site for feminist activism in France, promoting women's rights to contraception and abortion before these were legalized, and was dedicated to empowering women through childbirth.
