Colin Maunder

Colin Maunder is the General Manager of Sustainability at Timberlands, where he plays a crucial role in managing environmental relations, biosecurity, and operational land matters. He is particularly recognized for his dedication to the conservation of the kārearea, or New Zealand falcon, and has been instrumental in integrating falcon-friendly practices into Timberlands' operations. His efforts have not only set a benchmark for the forestry sector in New Zealand but also involved supporting educational initiatives and funding for long-term monitoring of the species. In recognition of his significant contributions to kārearea conservation, Maunder was awarded the Wingspan Raptor Award in 2025.
