Conner Bennett

Conner Bennett is an undergraduate intern at John Day Fossil Beds National Monument and a graduate student in Earth, environmental and planetary sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He has a keen interest in trace fossils, which are impressions left by ancient organisms. His recent research on fossil footprints has provided valuable insights into the behaviors of prehistoric shorebirds and lizards, shedding light on their existence and activities in ancient ecosystems.
