Constantin Codrescu

Constantin Codrescu was a renowned Romanian theater and film actor, director, and set designer, celebrated for his significant contributions to the performing arts. Born on September 5, 1931, in Huși, he graduated from the Institute of Theater in Bucharest in 1951, quickly establishing himself as one of the most talented actors of his generation. Throughout his career, Codrescu directed and staged numerous plays from both national and international playwrights, earning acclaim for his artistic vision and sensitivity. He passed away on November 13, 2023, which marks the tenth anniversary of the tragic Paris terror attacks.
