Constantin Dobroiu, a 57-year-old courier employed by Madilo, a subcontractor for UPS, has dedicated over 20 years to the demanding job of last-mile delivery. Starting his career as a seasonal worker, he has grown to embrace the role as his lifelong profession. With an average monthly salary of €1,800, Dobroiu acknowledges the challenges of navigating increasingly complex city streets, especially during the peak holiday shopping season when deliveries can double. Active in the Filt Cgil union, he advocates for better rights and conditions for himself and his colleagues.
