Constantin Lucaci

Constantin Lucaci (1923 - 2014) was a renowned Romanian sculptor, celebrated for his innovative works that merge art with engineering. Born in Bocșa, Caraș-Severin, he became known for his kinetic fountains, which are not only artistic sculptures but also functional pieces of urban infrastructure. One of his most notable creations is the kinetic fountain inaugurated in 1984 in Reșița, which has become a landmark of the city. Throughout his career, he designed nine similar fountains across various Romanian cities, contributing significantly to the modern urban landscape. Lucaci's works reflect a commitment to combining aesthetic beauty with technical precision, leaving a lasting legacy in contemporary Romanian art.
