Constatino André

Constatino André has been elected as the new Secretary-General of the Mozambican Youth Organization (OJM), the youth wing of the Frelimo party, receiving 161 votes compared to 10 for his opponent, Samson Chongo. Representing the province of Gaza, André succeeds Silva Livone and is a member of the Frelimo Central Committee, having been elected during the party's 12th congress in 2022 as part of a youth renewal initiative. Previously, he served as the President of the National Jurisdiction Council of the OJM, overseeing compliance with internal directives such as elections and provincial conferences. Upon taking office, he vowed to dedicate his efforts to the organization's goals and to uphold the internal unity of the youth movement.
