Coordinadora Nacional para la Reducción de Desastres

The Coordinadora Nacional para la Reducción de Desastres (Conred) is the national disaster response agency in Guatemala, responsible for coordinating efforts to prevent and respond to natural disasters, including fires, floods, and earthquakes. Recently, they were in the news for successfully controlling a fire at the El Paredón beach in Sipacate, Escuintla, and are actively working on damage assessment and recovery efforts in the affected areas.
