Corazon Padiernos

Corazon Padiernos is the Chairwoman and Resident Representative of the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) in Taiwan, a position she has held since October 2022. Her primary focus is on safeguarding the well-being of over 180,000 Filipino workers in Taiwan and strengthening economic ties between the Philippines and Taiwan. Padiernos has emphasized the importance of addressing the working conditions of overseas Filipino workers, particularly caregivers, who often face long hours and inadequate rest. She is also dedicated to promoting tourism to the Philippines and enhancing bilateral relations through increased flight connectivity and investment opportunities.
