Costache Antoniu

Costache Antoniu (1900–1979) was a renowned Romanian theater and film actor, celebrated for his performances on the National Theater stage in Bucharest. He delivered memorable portrayals in classic works by notable playwrights such as Shakespeare, Caragiale, and Camil Petrescu. In addition to his stage career, Antoniu appeared in significant Romanian films like Răscoala (1966) and Dacii (1967). As a dedicated educator, he served as a professor at the Institute of Theatrical and Cinematographic Arts, where he influenced and nurtured generations of Romanian actors.
