Count Montfort
Count Montfort was an Austrian-Italian police chief who played a significant role in modernizing Iran's police system during the Qajar era. He was brought to Iran by Naser al-Din Shah after the Shah's travels in Europe, where he encountered new policing methods. Montfort's influence marked the beginning of a structured policing approach in Iran, although his system did not last long.
