Crin Halaicu
Crin Halaicu served as the first directly elected mayor of Bucharest from 1992 to 1996. His tenure was marked by investigations into contracts considered detrimental to the municipality, and he faced scrutiny for collaborations with private firms and illegal donations. Long after his term, he was also investigated for illegal possession of firearms, although that case was later closed.
