Cristian Mora Víquez

Cristian Mora Víquez is the head of the Operational Psychological Support Section (Sapso) of the Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) in Costa Rica. He has been instrumental in addressing the psychological needs of OIJ agents who are increasingly exposed to violent crimes, which have escalated significantly in recent years. Mora highlights the mental health challenges faced by law enforcement personnel, including acute stress, depression, and anxiety, and emphasizes the importance of providing critical incident interventions to support those dealing with traumatic experiences in the line of duty.
