Cristian Morínigo Ojeda

Cristian Morínigo Ojeda, also known as 'La Gorda', is a prominent figure in Paraguay's criminal underworld, identified as the leader of a significant micro-trafficking drug network operating in over 40 neighborhoods around Asunción. He also played a key role in the barra brava 'La Plaza' associated with the Cerro Porteño football club. Prior to his arrest, he was employed as an usher at the Contraloría General de la República until April 2023. His organization is believed to be responsible for supplying up to 50% of the illicit drugs circulating in the capital, contributing to the escalating violence and social issues linked to drug trafficking in the region.
