Cristina Di Salvo is an environmental geologist at Italy's National Research Institute (CNR). She has conducted extensive research on groundwater management in Italy and has highlighted that the challenges facing the country’s water resources are primarily linked to poor management practices and aging infrastructure, rather than solely the impacts of climate change.
