Cristina Liliana Balcázar

Cristina Liliana Balcázar was a victim of femicide in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas in November 2020, whose tragic death has become emblematic of the ongoing violence against women in Ecuador. Her mother, María Ortiz, actively participated in recent mobilizations to demand justice for her daughter, particularly following the extradition of the main suspect from Peru.
