Cuffy (Cuffij)

Cuffy, also known as Cuffij, was a historical figure in Guyana's resistance against colonial oppression. He is best remembered as a leader of the 1763 slave rebellion in the then Dutch colony of Berbice, which sought to achieve freedom and justice for enslaved Africans.
