Cyril Kašpar

Cyril Kašpar was a pioneering Slovak filmmaker and photographer known for his documentary work in the early 20th century. He is particularly noted for creating a film capturing the life of the famous Slovak poet Pavol Országh Hviezdoslav shortly before his death. Kašpar’s contributions to Slovak cinema and documentation have been recognized posthumously, especially through the preservation of historical films.
