
Daasebre Osei Bonsu II
Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, born on December 31, 1939, was an esteemed Ghanaian economist and lawyer who served as the Mamponghene for 26 years after his enstoolment in 1998. Prior to his chieftaincy, he was the Registrar at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). As the second-in-command in the Asanteman traditional hierarchy, he acted on behalf of the Asantehene, contributing significantly to the cultural and administrative affairs of the Ashanti region. He passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the age of 86.
