Dafe Akpeneye is a prominent figure in Nigeria's energy sector, currently serving as the Commissioner for Legal, Licensing & Compliance at the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC). He has been instrumental in implementing regulatory frameworks and compliance measures aimed at improving the reliability and stability of Nigeria's electricity supply. Recently, he was in the news for signing a significant order mandating electricity generation companies to implement Free Governor Control across their generating units to address the persistent issues of national grid collapses.
