Dale Kahaki

Dale Kahaki was a dedicated New Zealand police officer who served primarily in the Waikato region. He faced significant personal challenges, including a battle with lymphoma and PTSD following a traumatic incident on duty. His career was marred by a prolonged battle against allegations of misconduct, which he fought until his death in August 2022. Posthumously, his family successfully argued that he had been unjustifiably disadvantaged by the New Zealand Police during an employment investigation, highlighting the emotional toll the accusations took on him and his loved ones.
