Dan Arakawa

Dan 'Dansun' Arakawa was a dedicated club rugby player and business owner in Auckland, New Zealand, known for his loyalty and commitment to East Coast Bays Rugby Club, where he played over 250 games, including 90 for the premier side. He was instrumental in bringing more than 50 Japanese players to New Zealand for rugby opportunities and was cherished for his infectious love of the sport and his supportive presence in the club. Tragically, Arakawa passed away after suffering a heart attack during training, leaving behind a legacy that touched many lives and a grieving family, including his wife and young daughter.
