Daniel Chitsulo is a former Malawian footballer who made history as the first Malawi-born player to score a professional goal in a European league, starting his career at 1. FC Köln at the age of 17. Over his long career, he played for several clubs in Germany, amassing 312 senior appearances and 85 goals before retiring in 2016. Chitsulo also represented the Malawi national team, earning 24 caps and scoring eight goals.
