Daniel Fernando Gutiérrez Rojas

Daniel Fernando Gutiérrez Rojas is the lieutenant colonel and director of the National Penitentiary and Prison Institute (Inpec) in Colombia. He has been in charge of overseeing the safety and management of prisons in the country, particularly during times of crisis. Recently, he became a key figure in the aftermath of an attack on Inpec guards at La Modelo prison in Bogotá, where he confirmed the death of one guard and the injuries of others, emphasizing the need for enhanced security measures.
