Daniel Ritler

Daniel Ritler is a 57-year-old sheep farmer from the village of Blatten in southern Switzerland, which was recently devastated by a massive landslide. During the emergency, he focused on evacuating his livestock, which included a hundred sheep, 11 donkeys, and two alpacas. Ritler has lived in Blatten, a small mountain community with a rich history dating back to the 1300s, and he has experienced the challenges of living in a region prone to natural disasters, particularly due to climate change.
