Daniel Tighe, a 20-year-old from Westmeath, Ireland, was involved in a tragic railway accident on August 2, 1944, after attending midnight mass at Multyfarnham Friary, where he fell asleep on the tracks, resulting in severe injuries and ultimately leading to his death shortly after.
