Danilo Anderson Harthey was a celebrated Costa Rican footballer known for his time with Municipal Puntarenas, where he became a champion in the 1986 season. Born in Limón, Costa Rica, Harthey was noted for his small stature, speed, and agility on the field. He began his career in the youth ranks of Asociación Deportiva Limonense (Asodeli), where he helped the team to a runner-up finish in 1981. Harthey made his professional debut in March 1976 and was later called up to the national team for the 1984 Olympic qualifiers. Although he did not officially play in the Olympics, he scored in a friendly against Sparta Prague. Harthey passed away on December 12, 2023, in Limón, at the age of 67 due to natural causes.
