Danilo Jejčič

Danilo Jejčič was a renowned Slovenian painter and a founding member of the Society of Visual Artists of Northern Primorska, who passed away at the age of 92. He was known for his work in geometric abstraction and had a significant influence on the art scene, particularly through his involvement with the Ljubljana Graphic Biennale. Born in 1933 in Ajdovščina, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana in 1971. Jejčič had a diverse artistic career that included teaching, curating Pilon Gallery, and participating in numerous international exhibitions, with his work reflecting a deep exploration of visual forms and materials.
