Danny Blatman

Danny Blatman is an Israeli historian specializing in Holocaust studies and contemporary Jewish history. He heads the Institute of Contemporary Jewry at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and is known for his critical perspective on the use of Holocaust memory in contemporary Israeli politics. Blatman has recently attracted media attention for his views on the Israeli government's actions in Gaza, arguing that the historical suffering of Jews should not justify the infliction of harm on others.
